Bob Olthoff
Bob Olthoff was a world class racer in the '60's and '70's. The display cases in the showroom at Olthoff Racing are a testiment to the driving talent this man had. All of those legendary tracks - Nurburgring, Kyalami, Brands Hatch, Goodwood, LeMans. 140 wins, many records and so many stories. A soft spoken, hard driving, engine tuning master. Proof that the "talent gene" can be passed on. Not only a very qualified and accomplished driver, but understanding and implemetation of "how it should be done," as father Bob would say. Driving School
Keep your eye on this section. We'll be posting videos here to show you how to "control" your car.
Don't under-estimate how quickly a good day can go horribly wrong. The things you'll learn here just may save the day, and possibly more.
Say when, another car suddenly pulls out in front of you, or that corner up ahead was a little sharper than you expected...
Dennis Olthoff will be your instructor and some videos will be done split screen so you'll be able to see the "fancy foot work" needed to make the car do what you want it to, when you want it to.

Events
If you've never been to an Olthoff Racing track event, what are you waiting for? Our events are non-competitive and are for YOU the owner to have the opportunity to understand and FEEL the way the car reacts in different situations.
A high powered short wheelbase car can be a real handful to a novice driver, and we put on these events to give you a safe environment in which to practice car control.
First, on day one, we have the drivers meeting in the pits to let everyone know how the event is run. Next we take ALL drivers around the roadcourse and stop and explain how to drive each corner, the braking point,the preferred line of entry and exit, the apex point, safe passing zones and entry and exit of pit road.

The History of the Cobra
Carroll Shelby is a name and a brand, both of which are foundations of America's car culture. The name Carroll Shelby refers to a proud son of Texas born in that great state in 1923. He is the shuffling, lanky chicken farmer in the striped overalls who proved to be part daredevil, part entrepreneur, and all genius when it comes to the art of moving faster.
